    Call for Papers: Special Issue on " Catalytic Biomaterials for Disease Theranositcs " in Biomaterials Translational

     

    Dear Researchers,

     

    We are delighted to announce a special issue on the topic of "Catalytic Biomaterials for Disease Theranositcs" in Biomaterials Translational.

     

    Biomaterials Translational (BMT) is an open access international journal focusing on the interface of translational medicine, biomaterials science and engineering. Articles in our journal have been cited by some databases like PubMed, Scopus etc.


    The objective of this special issue is to provide a platform for sharing the latest research findings and advancements in the use of hydrogel microspheres in regenerative medicine, bringing together scientists, engineers, and clinicians.


    In recent years, catalytic biomaterials have emerged as a promising new class of biomaterial systems due to their unique physicochemical properties. Unlike conventional biomaterials that mainly focus on drug loading capabilities and biological activity, catalytic biomaterials can mediate specific biological or chemical reactions under pathological microenvironments or external energy fields, thus realizing "highly efficient and low-toxicity" treatments for diseases or tissue repair. Therefore, they hold significant potential in interdisciplinary research and translational applications in the field of materials medicine.

     

    This special issue encourages the submission of original research papers and review articles that focus on the synthesis, characterization, and applications of catalytic biomaterials in disease theranostics. We invite authors to explore a wide range of topics related to hydrogel microspheres, including (but not limited to):


    1. Preparation and performance evaluation of micro/nano-biomaterials with enzymatic or chemical catalytic properties

    2. Construction and tumor therapy applications of intelligent responsive and multifunctional catalytic biomaterials

    3. Use of catalytic biomaterials in reactive oxygen species clearance and inflammatory diseases

    4. Applications of catalytic biomaterials in antimicrobial contexts

    5. Development of composite scaffolds based on catalytic biomaterials for tissue regeneration

    6. Utilization of catalytic biomaterials in cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases

    7. Bio-sensing and device applications based on catalytic biomaterials
